Getting started with Bookmarks

You can be up and running in a few minutes. Install the extension, let it capture what you have already saved, then search. The AI agent step at the end is optional and only needed on Pro.

1. Install the extension

Add ContextBolt from the Chrome Web Store. It works in Chrome and other Chromium browsers like Edge, Brave and Arc.

Once installed, pin it to your toolbar so the icon is easy to reach.

During onboarding, enter your email and the sign-in code we send. Completing that step signs you into the extension. You can also sign in or recover your account later in Settings → Account. Use the same email each time to reach the same account.

2. Capture your saves

There is no import step. ContextBolt captures your social saves as you browse, and web pages take one click each.

• Any web page: Click the ContextBolt icon and press Save this page. The article text is saved with it, so you can search what the page said later.
• X / Twitter: Open your bookmarks page. ContextBolt reads every save in the background as the page loads.
• Reddit: Open your saved posts. It captures them as you scroll, including older ones past Reddit’s 1,000-save limit.
• LinkedIn: A save button appears on feed posts. Click it and the post joins your library.

Give it a moment after each platform. AI tagging runs on every new save, so your library fills in on its own.

3. Search your library

Open the ContextBolt popup and search. It runs on your device and returns as you type. You do not need the exact words, and typos do not matter, because the index ranks results instead of filtering them.

Try a topic word like “garlic butter” or “hiring.” Search covers the AI tags as well as the text, so you land on the right save even when the post never used your word. If you want search that works on meaning rather than words, that runs through the Pro MCP endpoint.

You can also browse by topic. ContextBolt groups related saves into clusters automatically, so you can open a whole topic without searching.

4. Activate Pro (if you bought it)

When you buy Pro, your license key arrives by email. It is in your welcome email and in the Lemon Squeezy receipt, and it stays visible on your order page so you can never lose it.

1. Open Settings → Account and sign in with your email code if you have not already.
2. If Pro is not active yet, paste the key into the License Key field and save it once.
3. Check that the extension shows Pro. Unlimited bookmarks, cloud sync and MCP access are now available.

The license is linked to your account. Later sign-ins restore the account’s current Pro status without entering the same key again. If Pro ends, paid features stop; signing in does not start a new subscription. Keep your receipt in case you need to check or activate a purchase.

5. Connect your AI agent (Pro)

Add https://api.contextbolt.app/mcp to your AI app. Sign in on the ContextBolt page with the same account email, enter its code, and allow the connection. This OAuth step connects the AI app; it is separate from signing into the extension.

Already using the personal URL shown under Settings → MCP Integration? It still works. Existing connections and saved bookmarks are not replaced by this change.
