For the reading half, no, and I will not pretend otherwise. There is no reader view, no highlighting and no phone app. If reading on a train was the point of Pocket for you, Instapaper or Readwise Reader does that better. Can I import my Pocket CSV into ContextBolt?
No. A Pocket export is a list of URLs and titles, so importing one would hand you a few thousand links with no text behind them, which is the pile you are trying to get out of. ContextBolt stores the page content at the moment you save. The practical move is to open the twenty saves you would actually be annoyed to lose and save those properly, which takes about ten minutes. The migration guide walks it.
Does ContextBolt save web articles like Pocket did?
Yes. Click the extension icon on any page and press Save this page, and it keeps the title, the author, the site and up to 10,000 characters of the article, with the nav, adverts and comments stripped out. What happens to my data if ContextBolt itself shuts down?
Local-first storage. Bookmarks live in your browser's local database (IndexedDB) so even if the cloud service stopped, your local library is intact. Pro users get cloud sync, but the local copy is always the source of truth. Export tools let you move your library elsewhere any time.
